About Me

Originally from Long Island, I have lived in, and loved, the Bronx since 1992. I was editor of the Norwood News, a nonprofit community newspaper, from 1994 to 2011.

My interest in photography escalated as I took a class in the early 90s with my wife, Margaret Groarke, at Lehman College soon after I moved from Manhattan to Bedford Park. And my focus grew extensively following brain cancer surgery in 2012, which opened an unexpected  path for my mid-life obsession with abstract art, focusing on mixed media over the last three years in a class at the Art Students League in Manhattan.

That crisis also created time for me to walk, and run, through local parks and wandering streets in the Bronx and beyond, looking up, down and all around, making photographic art of materials the planet Earth and people provide us everywhere we look.

I post photos regularly on Instagram @jordanmossbx and welcome your input. Thanks for your interest!
